Making this data available via online dashboards—which combine simplified access with concise information—enables managers to quickly identify trends, adjust decisions, and communicate clearly.

Finally, local governments and coastal managers are expressing increasingly specific operational needs to steer their public policies in the face of challenges such as erosion, human pressure, and ecological transition. They also play a central role in innovation itself: by experimenting with new uses, testing services in their territories, and helping to bring tomorrow’s solutions to life.

This ability of local authorities to act as both users and producers of user-driven innovation is now a key driver for transforming technologies into truly operational services.

This event served as a meeting point for these three dimensions, with a shared goal: to transform scientific knowledge and spatial data into services that support public decision-making.

In this context, the Cosmeo program, part of France 2030 – Coastal Zone, plays a central role by developing service demonstrators co-created with stakeholders on the ground.

This event demonstrated how applied science—driven in particular by space technologies—serves as a key driver in helping regions address environmental challenges.
