This event demonstrated how applied science—driven in particular by space technologies—serves as a key driver in helping regions address environmental challenges. The Cosmeo program also contributes to this effort.
Cosmeo aims to bring together, under a single umbrella, the community of space data producers, service providers and institutional and operational users.
The high turnout (around sixty participants across all groups) confirmed the strong collective momentum surrounding the development of future operational services for coastal and marine management.
The consultation workshop held in Lorient this month brought together around twenty participants from local authorities and marine protected areas.
Gathered in the PACA region, managers, experts, and institutional stakeholders worked on the data and tools of the future, focusing on two key themes: land uses in Marine Protected Areas and coastal risks.
The start of the new academic year was marked by the launch of a consultation with beneficiaries, centred on four videoconference workshops bringing together the programme’s key stakeholders.
A resounding success with 100 participants, the kick-off meeting for the coastal zone monitoring service demonstrations helped to set out the programme’s objectives.
